Herniated Disk or Slip Disk

Herniated Disk or Slip Disk

A herniated disk refers to a problem with one of the rubbery cushions (disks) between the individual bones (vertebrae) that stack up to make your spine.

A spinal disk is a little like a jelly donut, with a softer center encased within a tougher exterior. Sometimes called a slipped disk or a ruptured disk, a herniated disk occurs when some of the softer “jelly” pushes out through a tear in the tougher exterior.

A herniated disk can irritate or pinch nearby nerves and result in pain, numbness or weakness in an arm or leg.

In most of the cases diagnosed with this condition, the doctor will say that the herniation cannot be reversed and it may in fact worsen with age. The patient is advised, ‘take extra precaution while bending, avoid lifting weights, maintain good posture etc’. The pain is managed through medication. The final resort is surgery.

So it there really no real cure for a slipped disk? Don’t be quick to conclude. There is a ray of hope!

From the perspective of energy, the cause of a slipped disk is the concentration of expansive dirty red energy in the lower spine for a prolonged period of time. The cause of this type of energy may also be emotional (lot of unexpressed, negative emotions) in nature.

Through the regular application of pranic healing, such expansive diseased energy can be gradually removed from the area and replaced with energies that have a soothing, contracting and firming effect on the herniated disk. This will slowly release or free the ‘pinched nerve’, easing the related pain. In simpler terms, it is somewhat like reversing the herniation process and regenerating the rubbery cushion / disk.
